Marins Wins Shore Hatchery Grant
Marins Med is proud to share that we won first place in the Fall 2024 Shore Hatchery grant competition. The program is funded by the Philip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation and recognizes early stage companies with strong growth potential in the Mid-Atlantic region.
About the Shore Hatchery Program
Shore Hatchery is administered by Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business. The 13-year, $2.9 million initiative was created in 2013 with a $1 million gift from the Ratcliffe Foundation and renewed with an additional $1.9 million to continue through Spring 2026. Each spring and fall, entrepreneurs from many industries compete for a share of up to $200,000 in business funding through live pitches and exhibits modeled after Shark Tank.
What this award enables
-
Faster progress from late stage prototyping to production for ProHensor
-
Investment in essential equipment that supports quality and repeatability
-
Outreach that helps clinicians and amputees learn about body powered options
Winning Shore Hatchery reflects our commitment to user centered, durable prosthetic devices that meet the needs of upper limb amputees. We are grateful to the Ratcliffe Foundation and Salisbury University for their support and for recognizing the potential of ProHensor.
