The Delaware EDGE program supports early-stage companies that show strong potential for growth. Through this competitive grant, the state helps smaller businesses invest in key needs that improve long-term success, including equipment purchases and targeted marketing.
Since launching in 2019, the EDGE program has awarded millions in funding to promising Delaware small businesses across fields such as wearable technology, agribusiness, and craft brewing.
About Marins Med
Marins Med, based in Georgetown, Delaware, is a woman-owned prosthetics company focused on user centered design. Our Chief Technical Officer is an upper-limb amputee and an accomplished engineer, which gives our team a practical, real-world perspective.
EDGE funding will help Marins Med move from late-stage prototyping to final design and manufacturing of the ProHensor. The ProHensor is a modular, body powered terminal device that emphasizes durability and functional control. Grant funds will be used to acquire essential manufacturing equipment and to support outreach that connects the device with people who can benefit from it.
